Finca Balcón de la Montaña is in Neira, in the department of Caldas, at over 1,850 meters in elevation. There, Mauricio Duque grows and processes this lot of Bourbon Ají, a variety that is uncommon in the region.
ABOUT THIS COFFEE:
This is a naturally processed coffee: the cherry is dried whole, with the bean inside, giving it a sweet, fruity cup. We roasted it for filter brewing, which brings out the black currant, grape, and honey finish. It works well in a V60, Chemex, Aeropress, or drip coffee maker.
