Janszoon is much more than a coffee: it’s part of Artisan Roast’s history.

Artisan Roast created it in Edinburgh in 2007 with a clear purpose: to develop an intense, complex, and consistent specialty coffee that shines equally well on its own or with milk.

Its recipe brings together different specialty Arabica coffees. Each component is roasted separately to bring out the best of its origin, then blended to create Janszoon’s signature profile: deep body, enveloping sweetness, and pronounced notes of chocolate, caramel, and ripe fruit.

For nearly two decades, Janszoon has been a favorite among consumers and specialty coffee shops. In Chile, it’s our best-selling whole-bean coffee, and in Scotland, it remains one of Artisan Roast’s most popular coffees, enjoyed in both cafés and homes.

It’s not a generic selection or a recipe developed to follow a trend. Janszoon is an exclusive Artisan Roast creation, perfected over years of roasting, serving, and conversations with people who truly appreciate good coffee.
