Andrea is a third-generation coffee producer in Petatán, Huehuetenango. Her grandfather was the first in the family to plant coffee on land that had grown corn and beans, and the knowledge passed down to her. When her husband left to find work, Andrea kept the farm running with the support of her family. Her farm, Buena Vista, is named for a nearby lookout over Huehuetenango's mountain ranges. We buy her coffee every year through our importer, Primavera.
