Fall is here in full force, and everyone is getting cozy and bundling up. Here’s your fruity surprise for this beautiful but stormy season.

We’re heading back to El Salvador, this time to the country’s far west, to Apaneca Ilamatepec. This beautiful mountain region is one of the country’s most important growing areas: about 60% of El Salvador’s coffee production comes from here, thanks to fertile volcanic soils and coffee-friendly weather. The region is also known for its biodiversity: cloud-covered forests protect native flora and fauna and help buffer the effects of climate change.
