Description

From the birthplace of coffee, Ethiopian Mocha Sidamo is an intriguing mixture of chocolate notes with a hint of sweet berries. This coffee is grown by a co-operative of farmers in the Sidamo zone of the Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples' Region (SNNPR), Southern Ethiopia. Grown at an altitude of 1500-2200 m.a.s.l., this coffee receives ample rainfall at optimal low temperature and in rich soil - ideal growing conditions for coffee production. Washed arabicas from this region typically possess intriguing sweet and floral flavours such as lemon, tealeaves and milk chocolate. We roast this coffee 'light-city' roast (light-medium) to preserve its delicate characteristics as well as its natural medium body and bright acidity.
