Origin
In the African province of Muynga, in northern Burundi, small-scale farmers grow this wonderful coffee in a beautiful hilly region. It grows at an altitude of 1,500–1,700 m on the fertile Karira Hill, known for its strong agricultural activity. Cassava is also grown here, alongside coffee. This very sweet Red Bourbon is washed at the Karabo washing station.
Character (medium-bodied)
A medium-bodied coffee with floral and nutty notes of bergamot and Brazil nut, accompanied by a gentle honey sweetness.
