Peru Organic

This lot comes from Junin, in Peru's central highlands, grown at 1,100 to 1,600 metres. The trees are Caturra and Typica.

Peru is one of the world's largest producers of organic coffee. Many farmers there turned to organic growing to protect their land as the climate changed, and it's become part of how coffee is farmed in the region.

It's washed, which keeps the cup clean. Dark cocoa comes first, then a tropical sweetness of papaya, with a bright citrus finish. We roast it for espresso.
