San Jose Farm is run by the Mierisch family, who have been growing coffee in Nicaragua for over 100 years. The family runs a total of 12 farms and is strongly committed to sustainability, as reflected in its investments in renewable energy and use of recycled water. Two of its largest farms are Rainforest Alliance- and UTZ-certified, setting a standard for sustainable, high-quality agriculture across all the other Mierisch farms.
