Description
Crestones is a Catuai lot from Tarrazú, Costa Rica, processed using the Black Honey method. Scoring 87 points, it has a clear profile of raspberry and flowers, complemented by notes of chocolate.
The coffee is grown at 1,800 m on Los Crestones farm, owned by Tarcero Umaña. Esteban Zamora and his brother Felipe manage production and process the cherries at the La Cruz de Tarrazú micro mill.
For Black Honey processing, the cherries are sorted, depulped with the mucilage left on, and sun-dried on raised beds for about 12–15 days. This approach contributes to the lot’s sweetness and juicy texture.
The lot reaches OVRIDE through CoffeeNativ, the green coffee importer we work with. We roast it to preserve its sweet, floral, and expressive profile.
