About Cross Coffee

WHAT WE WANT
Our philosophy - First of all, of course, we want to roast really good coffee. And in order to do justice to our understanding of really good coffee, we are moving a little away from the traditional small roasters. We deliberately limit ourselves to a few types of green coffee. But these coffees have it all. We invest a lot of time and effort in the selection of the green coffee and the respective refinement in order to do justice to each coffee and its unique properties. We attach great importance to differentiated roasting, which brings out the diverse aromas of our coffees in a nutshell. Our extraordinary coffees are available for preparation as filter coffee or espresso and are of course offered freshly roasted.
HOW WE WORK
We purchase our seasonally fresh green coffee from importers who purchase the green coffee exclusively from small-scale farmers' cooperatives or comparable associations. We attach great importance to social and ecological sustainability. It is important to us to know the history of each coffee, the details of its cultivation and the details of its preparation. Once we have received the green coffee, we dedicate ourselves to the fresh harvest with curiosity, care, professionalism and passion. In various trial roasts, we develop the best possible roast profile in order to elicit a taste profile that corresponds to its properties. In the drum roasting process, we then refine the raw coffee into wonderfully fragrant roasted coffee. So that it is always fresh
WHERE WE COME FROM
Of course from Bremen, the secret coffee capital. The first German coffee house was built in Bremen in 1673 and the city's ports are still of major importance for the import of green coffee. In 2013 we brought coffee back to an old coffee district. With the expansion of the roasting plant, we then moved to the port area in the west of Bremen. Since then you can find us at Use Akschen 91. A place full of charm and the wonderful smell of coffee.
WHAT WE STAND FOR
We stand for exceptional coffees that have been roasted with passion. For freshness based on seasonal green coffee and small batches. For coffee that ensures social and ecological sustainability on site. And last but not least, simply for having fun with coffee.
