A Rare Bean with Uncompromising Standards

Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee plants thrive in one of the premier growing locations in the world. Before reaching export markets, every single lot undergoes rigorous quality examinations managed directly by the Jamaica Coffee Industry Board.

Each bean is inspected by hand and graded by precise size requirements. Comprehensive cupping evaluations ensure that only peak Grade 1 lots receive export approval, guaranteeing you receive an authentic, world-class coffee experience in every bag.

Unique High-Altitude Growing Conditions

Cultivated in a sheltered region in eastern Jamaica, these trees grow roughly 1,800 metres above sea level in rich volcanic soil. The misty, humid mountain atmosphere creates a cool climate where coffee cherries mature slowly.

While standard coffee cherries ripen quickly, Jamaica Blue Mountain berries take nearly four years to reach full maturity. This extended timeframe allows the seed to absorb rich nutrients, resulting in an exceptionally complex flavour profile.

Brewing Recommendations

To unlock the delicate, authentic cup profile of this rare release, consider these essential brewing guidelines:

1 Use Fresh Water: We recommend filtered water to keep the mineral balance neutral and allow delicate floral top notes to shine. 2 Mind Your Temperature: When brewing with pour-over devices, AeroPress, or French press, avoid boiling water. Bring water to a boil, then allow it to rest for roughly five minutes so the heat will not scald the coffee. 3 Grind Fresh On Demand: Grind your beans immediately before extraction. Grinding in advance leads to a rapid loss of volatile aromatic oils.

Roasted Fresh to Order

Due to the extreme rarity of this limited release, your beans are roasted specifically to order at our Brisbane roastery. Please allow a few extra days for dispatch so our roasters can prepare your order to perfection.
