Our story
In 1996 Wayne Baker established Koffee-Tek Pty Ltd, a business whose purpose was to address the growing demand for the repair and servicing of coffee machines in the Brisbane area.
Out in the field, it was quickly identified there was not only a need for servicing but also for the supply of coffee as well. So in 2002, Wayne sourced a coffee roaster, moved to a new location in East Brisbane, and established Abrisca to do just that. Abrisca was an immediate success winning multiple coffee roasting awards, distributing coffee throughout Australia and also internationally.Nowadays, Wayne runs the business in an administrative role though old habits die hard; he can still be found servicing a machine in the workshop from time to time.
