Slip cast in Chattanooga by Bean and Bailey Ceramics, a southern duo producing small-batch functional porcelain pots. Their contemporary slip-cast ceramics address the needs for containing, serving, consuming, displaying, growing, and showing. 

Anderson Bailey has been involved in the clay world since he was a brambling teenage boy. The son of an architect and a botanist, he feels he’s been informed throughout his childhood by contemporary design and fanciful decoration. When translating sketches into dimensions he “lets the marks inherent to my process show, adding movement to the forms and sustaining an aesthetic throughout my work.” 

Jessie Bean has been working with her hands since she was a young lady. In 2006 she graduated from the Appalachian Center for Crafts with a BFA in the glass. Jessie immediately moved out West and began working for glass artists and later on as a seamstress. During this time she developed an even stronger love for well-crafted objects of all kinds, which lead her to explore other mediums such as clay, fibres, metal, and dirt
