The four main features of Sage Barista Express technology

The Barista Express is an automatic coffee machine with a portafilter made by SAGE, a world leader in kitchen appliances.

With Sage The Barista Express, it is possible to brew a proficient espresso coffee in less than a minute with the click of a button. The Barista Express technology enables instant, quality grinding of coffee beans and optimal temperature control during extraction. The result is a beverage with a full-bodied aroma and impeccable taste. In addition, the machine can prepare milk foam with microbubbles in manual mode so you can prepare milk drinks as a real barista would operate.

The four main features of Sage Barista Express

In this post we want to highlight the four distinctive features of the Sage Barista Express technology that allow you to make professional espresso coffee from the comfort of your home kitchen.

1. Sage Barista Express grinding and dosing.

The Sage coffee machine has a built-in grinder with conical blades that allows you to adjust the grind according to 16 setting levels. This makes it possible to obtain the suitable amount of coffee needed to produce coffee with a rich, full-bodied aroma. The ideal dose of ground coffee, equal to 18 grams, is placed inside a 54 mm filter holder made of stainless steel on par with those used by professional machines.

2. Preinfusion and extraction

The Sage Barista Express espresso machine is equipped with technology capable of handling preinfusion and extraction operations. Specifically, the coffee machine is equipped with a 15-bar pump that enables extraction with 9 bars of pressure. Extraction operations are anticipated by a preinfusion phase where the freshly ground coffee powder comes into contact with water in order to release the carbon dioxide present inside the coffee cells. In this way, the passage of water inside the powder is more favored, managing to obtain an aromatic beverage that best expresses the characteristics of the beans.

3. Thermocoil heating

Barista Express is equipped with a Thermocoil heating system that allows, through PID technology, to dispense water with exactly 93 degrees of temperature. Temperature stability is a key aspect for brewing a perfectly balanced flavor drink.

4. 130-degree steam wand

The steam wand included with the Barista Express allows for silky, velvety milk froth with microbubbles through a 130-degree steam jet and manual whipping like a professional barista.

A simple and functional interface

These four features encapsulated within the Barista Express machine are easily managed through a simple and functional interface that allows for manual or automatic beverage preparation operations.
