The “Orang Utan Coffee Project” supports coffee farmers on Sumatra who manages their coffee plantations organically, refrain from clearing the rainforest, and thereby protect the valuable habitat of the orangutans, which are threatened with extinction. A bonus of 0.50 EUR / kg goes to the coffee farmers of the Orangutan Coffee Project for their commitment to the preservation of the tropical rainforest and the controlled cultivation according to orangutan guidelines. Another 0.50 EUR / kg goes directly to the Sumatran Orangutan Conservation Program (SOCP).

PLANTATIONS: 32 hectares, cultivated by 58 farmers. The plantations are covered by intact mountain rainforests.

AROMA: A very exciting interplay of flavors of oranges, dark chocolate, and cinnamon as well as a note of fruit sweetness. This coffee is well balanced and has a medium body.
