Description
The Himalayan region is better known for growing Darjeeling tea. Nevertheless, here, 75km north of Kathmandu, coffee cultivation began in 1994.
The coffee plants were imported from Papua New Guinea. The plantation is 70 hectares. Just 15 tons of coffee are harvested annually. The mountain range of Mount Ganesh Himal, on the foothills of which the farm is located, supplies the plantation with pure glacial water via the Trisuli River.
The coffee is 100% grown and washed under shade trees. Organic fertilizers are mainly used. This coffee rarity convinces with the long-lasting chocolaty aftertaste and a very good harmony.
