The tool ensures an absolutely even surface and the even, cavity-free distribution of the ground coffee in the portafilter and reduces channeling in the coffee puck, thus ensuring an optimized end result. Then you can tamp as usual, because leveling does not replace tamping. The height can be adjusted by turning and can thus be adapted to your own equipment.
