You’re here for excellent Colombian coffees and we’ve got ‘em! This microlot purchased through our long time partner, COSURCA, is a special treat for us. We’ve loved serving COSURCA’s annual lots in the past but this is the first time in a while we’ve had the opportunity to serve one of their microlots. This coffee was grown at roughly 1700 masl (5580 ft) which is an ideal altitude for growing arabica coffees. This elevation allows for a mild climate and steady growth in the beans, which provides the cup with a more complex, balanced, and sweet profile. These coffees were also grown in the shade under guamo, citrus, avocado, and plantain trees. Each of these beans were hand harvested and selected only at peak ripeness. They were then depulped the same day and fermented for 12 to 16 hours on raised beds in parabolic dryers for appx. 8 days. All of this care and precision yields a cup of excellent quality that we’re pumped to be sharing with you!
