Testi Project Direct is a community development initiative that focuses on transforming and assisting the farmers they work with. Testi Trading PLC offers financial support to the farmers for quality-focused upgrades, composting, picking, and is involved in social works for the community like school and water sources construction. Additionally, they pay a premium to improve farmers’ quality of life. Tetsi built a primary school in Denbi Uddo, Guji in 2014, and also supplies the school with materials annually.
The Gigesa washing station was built in 2014. This is Testi Coffee’s first washing in Guji and processes of both washed and natural coffees. For natural process coffees, the coffee cherries are submerged in water to both clean the cherries and to sort by density. Once sorted, the cherries are placed on raised beds, allowing them to dry evenly.
