Description

Swami’s is our Medium Roast coffee from Costa Rica. Costa Rica coffee has a great reputation around the world because it is illegal to grow anything except 100% arabica beans. Heavy rainfall and high altitudes help contribute to the ideal growing conditions found in Costa Rica. The beans are then picked by hand, making sure they are ripe and ready to make an amazing cup of coffee.

In 2001, Hacienda Rio Negro became the first farm in Costa Rica to become Rainforest Alliance Certified.

Located in remote southern Costa Rica, the Rio Negro region enjoys a well-defined rainy season, which promotes optimal coffee flowering and high-quality production. This is an area rich in coffee culture, where producers are committed to quality and proud of what they produce.

There are approximately 700 acres of coffee in production with the majority of the trees being the Catuai and Caturra varieties.

Swami’s is the perfect name for our Swami’s roast because it is an ideal surf spot in Encinitas, CA. Located behind the Self-Realization Fellowship, Swami’s is named after Swami Paramahansa Yogananda. This classic surf spot is world-renowned, just like Costa Rica’s coffee.
