Do you want to turn your coffee into something special in less than 10 minutes? Then go for coffee with salted caramel and chocolate twist! An ultimate combination of delicious warm flavors that provide a real coffee indulgence. And of course, you give that to yourself or your loved one.

In the kitchen, salt is used as a flavor enhancer. Salt ensures that the taste of sweet ingredients is enhanced in a subtle way. That also ensures that the combination of sweet caramel and salt is so tasty! You experience an even more intense caramel flavor in your dish, or in our case in the coffee with a chocolate twist.

What do you need?

To make the specialty coffee for 2 people you need the following items and ingredients:

  • 2 tall glasses
  • 200 ml of milk
  • 2 espressos
  • 100 gr salted caramel chocolate (for example from Verkade or Tony Chocolonely)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Whipped cream
  • Caramel sauce and cocoa powder

You also need a pan to heat the milk.

Method of preparation

Now that we have the ingredients, we can get started making this coffee treat. You do this as follows:

First heat the milk in the pan, but do not let it boil. Once the milk is warm, add the chocolate pieces and a pinch of salt. Mix this until the chocolate has melted. Meanwhile, put an espresso in two tall glasses. Add the mixture of hot milk with chocolate and a pinch of salt. Now you have coffee with salted caramel flavor.

Complete your coffee

But that’s not all! To complete your coffee, we go one step further. Spray a nice dollop of whipped cream on the coffee and finish it off with the caramel sauce and a little cocoa powder on top.
