BALE MTN ESTATE

Description

Bale Mountain is a farm owned by Israel Degfa in the Ethiopian Highlands – in the Gedeo zone – where we were greeted by cheerful kids playing in the river. The farm sits among rolling green mountains, fresh sources of water, and dense green foliage. It’s become an economic boon to many of the families in the area that work on, and enjoy the river at, Bale. It’s a perfect setting for families and coffee and being a private estate means that the quality has been high year over year.

This Ethiopian had a very classic Southern Ethiopian profile that’s associated a lot with Gedeo/Yirgacheffe. It’s the fresh Lemon Zest and Jasmine with a smooth and clean body that has made Ethiopia one of the world’s favorite coffee producers.
