Founded in 2010 in South Bend as Zen Cafe, our mission was simple; roast delicious coffee and source it transparently. We did these things for two reasons; we love coffee, and good coffee does not appear out of thin air.
Quality coffee is the result of a chain of relationships which incorporates farmers, roasters, and consumers (that’s you!).
We believe close attention to each step is necessary for coffee to reach its full potential, and that attention is reflected in your cup.
DON'T WORRY! We STILL believe in these core values. The difference is that we have evolved into something more broader than that. Each and every day we get to see people come through our doors; studying, having meetings, having first dates, taking engagement photos, planning community events...the list goes on. At the end of the day, we weren't just a cafe, nor were we just serving cups of coffee. What we provide is a setting where people came to gather and form memories.
