The concept of Turbo Coffee began in our heads in 2014. Reese was working in specialty coffee at the time near Auburn, AL, but wanted to eventually move home to be near family. Turbo Coffee officially opened in 2015 in the back of Reese's brother's business, Greasy Hands Barbershop in Florence, AL. We partnered with the best roasters in the country for our coffees and learned and grew until we began roasting our own coffee in 2017. Because we had worked with such great roasters for two years, our expectations for our own coffee were super high (and still are). Every bag of our coffee was roasted with care and precision in small batches to highlight the profiles and sweetness of each individual coffee.In 2018 we opened our second location in Tuscaloosa, AL. This was always a dream of ours since Reese is an alumnus of the University as a student-athlete. It was a both a challenging and rewarding experience. Growing and scaling a business is not easy. The Tuscaloosa community has shown us tremendous love and support since day one and we love serving that community. We love our craft and we love sharing our journey with you as we continue to grow, learn and improve. If you are in Florence or Tuscaloosa, please come visit one of our cafes! But, it's not all about coffee! We care about the health of our bodies and living healthy lives, so we serve fresh, made in-house cold-pressed juices, acai bowls and superfood smoothies. We also make delicious pastries and breakfast items!
