Description
Torrey Pines is our Medium Roast from Chiapas, Mexico. This coffee has been Rainforest Alliance Certified since 2006. Each year Finca Muxbal increases their standards of excellence to improve their coffee, farming, and way of life. Social and environmental conscious is part of the daily experience at this farm.
Muxbal’s history begins in the late 1770’s when it started growing coffee while Chiapas was still part of Guatemala. The farm has been owned by the same family since the 1960’s when they started to update and improve upon the farming infrastructure. The Muxbal Estate is a stunning, mountain-top coffee farm in Unión Juárez that takes its name from the Mayan phrase for “place surrounded by clouds.”
Torrey Pines is a beautiful community most famous for its golf course. With 42% of the community being parks or open spaces, it is one of the best places to spend a day outdoors in San Diego. It is home to a diverse amount of wildlife and it is even possible to see whales migrating from the cliffs.
