The region of Ethiopia is considered to be the origin of Arabica coffee and has been cultivated there for many centuries. The country’s coffee is as complex and lively as the Ethiopian culture. It impresses with its floral and fruity aromas, as well as a fine acidity and elegant sweetness in every cup. Due to the lighter roast, our Single Origin Ethiopia unfolds its full potential.

Ethiopia is the cradle of coffee. According to legend, resourceful goatherds came across the beneficial, invigorating effects of the Arabica bean with its incomparable aromas more than a thousand years ago. Ethiopian coffee is usually processed dry. The exotic aromas of the coffee cherry, therefore, find their way unadulterated into the coffee cup: a strong basic sweetness, flanked by lively fruit aromas and often present acidity – significantly more nuanced than South American varieties, but less complex than Asian coffees.
