SALVADOR LA REFORMA COFFEE BEANS
A very gourmet coffee, soft, round and balanced. Slightly tangy, it has delicious chocolate notes.
This coffee comes from the Santa Ana region. The 60 members of the cooperative cultivate this cru under shade on the shores of Lake Coatepeque. It is grown in Finca La Reforma. This forest and volcanic area is home to many coffee plantations in an agroforestry system that contribute to the preservation of local biodiversity.
Included in the UNESCO-recognized Apaneca-Ilamatepec Biosphere Reserve, this forested and volcanic area is home to many shaded coffee plantations. By combining coffee trees, shade trees and food crops, this mode of production that respects natural ecosystems limits soil erosion, protects watersheds and preserves biodiversity.
