Description

Coffees from the north of the Indonesian island of Sumatra enjoy a very good reputation among coffee connoisseurs because they are pleasantly soft despite their intense flavor. Gayo or Aceh is a small coffee-growing region on the Bukit Barisan Mountains. Coffee beans are mainly grown here on small coffee plantations. Sun-drying after picking gives Sumatra Gayo its sweetness, but it also absorbs the spiciness of the soil. Its acidity remains subtle. The darker the coffee roast, the more sweetness prevails in the taste.

This organic coffee comes from the Arabica Catimor / Garundang variety (Quality Grade 1, semi-washed) from controlled organic cultivation according to EU regulation (EC No. 834/2007).

Flavor Profile:

full-bodied, herbal-earthy sweetness, velvety body with little but fruity acidity

Roast recommendation:

City Roast Plus / Full City Roast

This green coffee is very suitable for all roasting devices!
