The territory: Benefecio Comunitario Sibactel is located in the Tenejapa region. These are now 70 farmers who are members of Cafeologo. Since the 2020 harvest, coffee has been bought in cherries at the price of parchment for 2 reasons: to strongly encourage selective harvesting and a better income for farmers. The Sibactel Benefit hosts numerous training courses for farmers (fight against diseases such as Broca or Ojo de gayo, improvement of agricultural practices with the size of coffee plants …). To become a true partner of this community, you need to be a part of it. Much more than a coffee mate, Jesus and his team attend religious festivals, the corn festival, and help them cope with everyday problems.
