Huehuetenango is located in the northwestern region and offers one of the finest coffee plants in the country. This area is located in the highest and driest region, so coffee grows at about 2,000 meters above sea level. Coffee beans are characterized by a fine and intense acidity. Coffee is grown between slopes of more than 50% and mountains at 1,700 meters above sea level, with clayey soils that are not too stony, resulting in proper development of the plant. Caring for the plant, supplying it with appropriate nutrients based on soil analysis, caring for its environment, creating natural barriers and canals so that the rains do not wash away the richness of the soil. The basis of coffee cultivation is constant production and the pursuit of quality every year.
