WHY IT’S SPECIAL
Familia Rodriguez represents the combined work of three brothers—Ulpiano, Luis, and Jairo—who operate adjacent farms in Alto Naranjal, overlooking the town of Buesaco, Nariño. We’ve purchased their coffee for four years, usually allocated as a blend component for Bedford. Although the three brothers often deliver their coffee together, the lot we purchased this year is entirely from Ulpiano’s farm.
This coffee is a recent arrival (timed with the Southern Hemisphere’s crop cycle) and a refined example of the classic Colombian flavor profile—expect a brilliant, structured acidity with notes of red plum, green grape, orange, caramel, and walnut.
