Aponte Village

Description
We excited about this beautiful offering from the Aponte community and Atlantic Specialty. All of the growers that deliver coffee to this very special community lot are members of the Inga indigenous community in the small village of Aponte deep in the mountains of Narino. This coffee is honey processed and dried with 100% mucilage intact on raised beds under plastic canopies. Heavy winds helps to ensure even drying in 20-45 days. Typically, the producers make half of their crop honey and half fully washed since honey processed coffees require more space and time to dry. During the peak of the harvest they must fully wash the coffees in order to keep up with their farms’ production.
This coffee is sweet, light bodied, and juicy with notes of sweet cherries and tropical fruits. It makes for a delicious cup that will brighten your day.
