Recess Coffee opened its flagship location in 2007, in the heart of Syracuse’s Westcott Neighborhood. Before long, Recess became a hub for musicians, artists, students, families, and everyone in between. In 2015, Recess expanded, adding a second location in Downtown Syracuse, across the street from City Hall. In 2020, a third location was opened on Tipp Hill, right around the corner from the upside-down traffic light.
While the company has grown, Recess still holds true to its core values: fostering strong relationships in our community, providing excellent customer service, and serving an exceptional product. Our coffee is roasted to perfection in small batches right here in Syracuse, and is sourced directly from fair-trade farms with missions of sustainability and sound ethical practices.
