    La Messicana

    The company’s history of Caffè La Messicana Piacenza is made up of aromas, intuitions, and people who have written the most important pages of it. Founded in 1957, from a small coffee house it has become an asserted roasting company that has achieved many successes and has become a prestigious Made in Italy ambassador in the world.

    From the little shop that inebriated Piacenza’s streets have remained commitment, passion, and accuracy in the choice of raw materials; milestones thanks to which the roasting house has reached important business goals in Europe, Canada, North Africa, and Asia.
    In June 2015, Assietta Private Equity Investment Fund in Milan, specialized in the development of medium enterprises, acquired the company favoring the subsequent trading step: with a diversified offer and a product portfolio able to meet the needs of all distribution channels, today Caffè La Messicana Piacenza operates in 32 countries around the world.
    Alongside the classic line, the Città d’Italia brand made its debut, conceived as a tribute to the Italian coffee tradition, it is mainly focused on foreign markets and on selected Italian consumption points.

    Caffè La Messicana Piacenza is a company sensitive to the safeguard of production areas, environment, and local population engaged in processing. Coffee is the outcome coming from the know-how of those who cultivate it.     Coffee beans quality depends on the practices that each producing country has got in cultivating and harvesting coffee, in addition, we have to consider climatic factors and the intrinsic nature of the crops.

    Caffè La Messicana Piacenza chooses the best raw materials creating a constant selection process: coffee varieties are tested until we find the ones that perfectly fit our high-quality standards. Thus, we obtain pure blends whose taste is not only the result of numbers and machines but also of stories, faces, lands, and different cultures.
    All phases of the production process are subjected to a continuous and targeted control ensuring a constant quality in which coffee aromas are enhanced and preserved.
    Always scrupulous in maintaining high-quality standards, Caffè La Messicana Piacenza has achieved ISO9001 certification, the international standards for quality management, and the Bioagricert certification. The latter, through punctual and effective checks, certifies the conformity of the organic product.
