    TWO BROTHERS. A STORY. A COFFEE

    THE FOUNDATION OF KARACHO

    The startup KARACHO was founded by the two brothers Jonas & Oliver Braun, who literally had coffee culture and a passion for it in the cradle. After a one-day trip around the world, her parents began to set up the Kaffee Braun family roastery in 1986, which the brothers and their father have been running very successfully to this day.

    The idea of bringing a cold brew coffee to the market arose while they were studying. At that time, Jonas worked for a while in the coffee growing business in Costa Rica, while his brother discovered his skills in the coffee trade in the USA. This was a very formative time for both of them. The topic of cold brew germinated very early in the USA and aroused their interest. They were very quickly convinced of Cold Brew, its taste and its advantages, and the desire was born to bring Cold Brew Coffee to Germany as THE cold coffee. Because the coffee experience they gained at the Kaffee Braun family roastery in Mainaschaff immediately told them: Cold brew in Germany - that fits!

    THE MISSION: COLD BREW COFFEE IN GERMANY

    Back in Germany, a lot of testing and development was carried out in order to explore the market potential of cold brew coffee. After Jonas & Oliver were able to inspire their first customers with the topic of cold brew and noticed that the demand was constantly increasing, they were faced with the challenge of professionalizing themselves. To this end, in 2016 they founded their own company for the topic of cold brew - KARACHO, moved into their own offices, and engaged a motivated team.

    At the same time as the KARACHO spin-off, they also attacked the ready-to-drink market. A good six months after it was founded, at the beginning of 2017, the first two types of KARACHO were produced in CartoCans. Since the cold brew segment was still relatively unknown in Germany, the team had to do some pioneering work. But with their enthusiasm and passion for the product, they were able to position themselves successfully in food retail and drugstores.

    FURTHER DEVELOPMENT TO THE COFFEE COSMOS

    With the idea of bringing cold brew coffee to the German market, KARACHO continues to pursue various approaches to this day. In addition to the ready-to-drink products in sustainable cardboard cans, KARACHO has created a cold brew cosmos that is constantly producing new innovations in the field of cold coffee. KARACHO also produces cold brew coffee in large containers for well-known partners, e.g. for the catering industry.

    With KARACHO, Jonas and Oliver want to show what coffee stands for them: cosmopolitanism, adventure, childhood dreams & a lot of positive attitude towards life!

    In recent years, these values have resulted in special coffee products with a finger on the pulse, which brings a breath of fresh air to the coffee market.
