Infusion is so much more than your average coffee shop… It is the product of owner Patrick O’Malley’s 30+ years of coffee expertise. Specialty coffee goes beyond how it’s brewed or how intricate the latte art is, although we have both of those covered for you. Specialty coffee starts at the source. When you order a drink at Infusion, you can trust that not only were the beans bought through direct trade with the farmer but also that their quality has been extensively tested and roasted to bring out only the best flavors of each bean. Patrick travels the world to teach, consult, judge coffee competitions, and even source his own green coffee for Infusion. It makes for a special experience because if you ask your barista, you can hear the backstory of the beans that brewed your cup.
The Story in Every Cup
Infusion goes the extra mile, literally, to bring you world-class coffee. Patrick travels the world in search of the finest beans and often works directly with coffee farmers to source the green beans that Infusion roasts. Every green coffee bean that enters our lab undergoes extensive Coffee Quality Institute (CQI) quality testing procedures, including visual inspections of defects, moisture and density meters, water activity meters, and screen sizing. If the coffee passes these quality tests, then it gets to move to the roaster!
Every single coffee and tea we share is a product of the passion, knowledge, and experience of Infusion owner and world-renowned coffee expert, Patrick O’Malley. Patrick is a roast master, a tea sommelier, a coffee competition judge, an authorized SCA trainer, and only the 43rd person in the world to receive an SCA Diploma. He works in every facet of the coffee industry. From the sale and repair of espresso machines, to roasting coffee, and the wholesale and distribution of fine coffee and teas, to designing, building, and managing Infusion, Patrick has a deep knowledge and passion for coffee that he instills in every roaster and barista on staff. The entire Infusion team is committed to their craft and will share their knowledge with anyone who is eager to learn the story in every cup.
