When we think of coffee, we only think of the drink in the cup. We mostly drink it to wake up in the morning or throughout the day in the office or in a café. The coffee goes through several stages until it exists in the form in which we know it.

    Coffee

Coffee is a fruit that grows on the coffee tree. The coffee cherry is about the size of a grape and is initially green. The more mature it becomes, the more its color changes. Basically, the coffee cherry is green at first, then yellow, and when fully ripe it is dark red. The coffee bean is located inside the coffee cherry, it is the seed of the fruit. There are two types of coffee, arabica, and robusta. Arabica coffee is made from the Coffea arabica and Robusta coffee is made from the Coffea canephora.

At GEPPETTO you can get 100% Robusta, 100% Arabica, and a balanced Neapolitan mix. Depending on your subjective feeling, preference, and preparation, you can work out the advantages of each type and choose your favorite coffee.

    Roasting

Of course, the ripe bean cannot simply be consumed without further processing. One of the most important steps in roasting the coffee. In this step, the little green bean is transformed into the fine, flavored delicacy that we call coffee. Roasting gives the coffee its actual taste. Every coffee roaster has its own method. The aim, however, is to achieve the desired taste of the coffee repeatedly. GEPPETTO ties in with the Neapolitan coffee tradition. The coffee is characterized by a dark roast, the so-called Italian Roast. This gives us a coffee that has a lot of body with it. Just as it can often be found in the southern culture of Europe. Naples in particular is known for a strong but not acidic coffee.

    Enjoyment

The most important thing is that the coffee you drink tastes good. Because, as you know, there are only two types of coffee. Coffee that doesn't taste good and coffee that tastes good. The taste depends of course on the coffee, but the preparation method and the way it is consumed have an impact on the final result. Accordingly, it is important to carefully observe the taste of each variety, preparation method, and type of consumption and to remember your own preferences. Coffee that is prepared in an espresso maker can taste completely different than one from the fully automatic machine, the Frech-Press, or the portafilter machine. The addition of milk or aromas also has a strong effect on the perception of taste. For the preparation of a cappuccino, one type of coffee can be better suited than another.

GEPPETTO offers you many possibilities to find the perfect coffee. We offer you different types of coffee, which are available for different processing variants. In addition to the coffee, you can also get various coffee accessories with which you can influence the preparation.
