Description

ETHIOP KOCHERE GR.1.

Light espresso roasted specialty coffee beans with fruit compote, orange, lemon and ginger flavors.

Kochere, a small village in southern Ethiopia with an ideal climate for producing high quality coffee. There are about 750 small-scale farming families in the area, who farm an average of about 2 hectares of land and grow various crops in addition to coffee, without the use of chemical fertilizers. The coffee beans are grown, harvested, sorted and processed by hand, which are then dried on so-called raised African beds for approx. 18-21 days until the ideal moisture content is reached (10-12%). At this stage, the cherries are often rotated, raked, and protected from rain and dawn mist to ensure a perfectly even drying. As a result, coffee is rich in aromas and has a physically beautiful appearance.
