elbgold stands for high-quality, directly traded specialty coffee in Germany. We discover all elbgold green coffees on our trips to the coffee-growing countries of the world and purchase them directly, fairly and sustainably from the producers. In our coffee roastery in Hamburg's Schanzenviertel, the Direct Trade coffees are roasted by hand and with a lot of experience. Each coffee is given an individual roast profile, so that we have the right filter coffee or espresso in our range for both classic coffee drinkers and third wave coffee lovers. elbgold is an integral part of the specialty coffee scene in Germany and a member of the Specialty Coffee Association Germany (SCA).

Our range of directly traded filter coffees ranges from light roast single origins and blends to coffee rarities such as Cup of Excellence winners, 90+ coffees (according to SCA Score) and special varieties such as geisha. We are happy to work with producers in Ethiopia, Nicaragua, Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Honduras, Peru, Brazil, India, etc. We also offer different types of coffee preparations such as washed, natural, honey and anaerobic fermentation (anaerobic).

Whether a classic, strong espresso blend like in Italy or a fruity, Ethiopian Light Roast Single Origin Espresso prepared as a natural. We offer a selection for every taste and every type of preparation. Including coffee beans for the fully automatic machine (Jura, WMF) and espresso for the portafilter or stove.
