Compass Coffee

We believe that real good coffee will always point you in the right direction.

Compass Coffee is a Washington, DC-based Coffee Roaster. Founded in 2014 by two Marines, Michael Haft and Harrison Suarez, Compass has 12 brick and mortar locations around the Washington Metro Area, one active roasting facility in DC's historic Shaw neighborhood, and a growing regional grocery presence. In addition to the cafés, you can find Compass at many of DC's best restaurants, online, and in grocery stores throughout the Mid-Atlantic. Currently, Compass is building a state-of-the-art production facility in Ivy City to support its expansion through the entire Mid-Atlantic and beyond.

Discover our definition of real good coffee. Our coffee blends are fairly traded from all over the world and peak roasted fresh in Washington, DC at our local cafe (come watch!). We pride ourselves in making quality coffee without an exclusionary experience because we believe everyone should be able to enjoy coffee. There is no need to be an expert in the intricacies of the coffee process, your taste buds will tell you all there is to know. Each coffee has a description of its flavors if you want to try something new or just order your favorite blend to be shipped directly to you. Look out for our seasonal blends to be available.
