Turmeric Latte

Turmeric Latte, also called Golden milk. Turmeric is becoming increasingly popular in the Netherlands and is known for all kinds of healthy effects. For example, it has a healing effect on inflammation and can be used as an anti-flu agent. But the most important thing is of course that it also tastes delicious and is easy to make! Try this Douwe Egberts Turmeric Latte now.

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Ingredients (for 1-2 persons):

  • 400 ml almond milk
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 5-6 slices freshly cut turmeric
  • 2 slices of freshly cut ginger
  • 2 teaspoons agave syrup
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • Little bit of black pepper

Preparation method:

1.  Put all ingredients in a saucepan and put it on the fire.

2.  When the light comes to a boil, remove the freshly cut turmeric and ginger slices from the pan.

3.  To get a foam layer on your Turmeric Latte, pour part of the liquid into the milk frother. You pour the rest into a mug or glass. When the milk frother is ready, pour the foam on top of the rest in the glass.

4.  Garnish with some cinnamon powder on top!

Tip: add a freshly brewed DE espresso to your Turmeric Latte for an  extra kick!
