What better way to get through the day than with a cup of black coffee… delicious in its simplicity!
But sometimes it is also nice to experience the coffee in a different way, without giving up the unmistakable taste of illy of course. We have collected three illy coffee recipes that give your coffee just that little bit of ‘extra’. Enjoy it!
Caramel Latte Macchiato
A little pampering moment.
What do you need?
125 ml fresh illy espresso
250 grams steamed and frothy whole milk
1 tbsp condensed milk-2 tbsp caramel syrup
Steps:
1. Pour 250 grams of milk into an (illy) milk frother. Make firm milk foam.
2. Pour the condensed milk into a glass.
3. Pour the whipped milk onto the condensed milk.
4. Brew a strong espresso.
5. Pour the espresso (with a jug if necessary) nicely in the middle of the milk. The coffee automatically moves to the center of the glass due to the weight.
6. Finish your latte macchiato with a dollop of caramel syrup. Serve right away!
Cafe Affogato
A nice dessert.
What do you need?
20-25 ml espresso
Vanilla ice cream-fresh whipped cream (optional)
Unsweetened cocoa powder
Steps:
1. Brew a small cup of espresso
2. Put the ice in a glass and pour the espresso over it
3. Decorate with whipped cream (optional)
4. Finish with a little cocoa powder and serve. Wonderfully simple!
Irish Coffee
An end to a nice dinner
What do you need?
45-50 ml espresso (double espresso) 40 ml Irish whiskey
40 ml fresh whipped cream
Unsweetened cocoa powder
Coffee beans for the finish
Steps:
1. Prepare two espressos in a cup.
2. Heat the whiskey in a pan. Be careful not to overheat it as this can alter the taste.
3. Spoon the sugar into a glass and add the heated whiskey.
4. Pour over the coffee.
5. Whip the cream, which should be very cold, in a shaker until it thickens.
6. Take the back of a spoon, hold it in the glass just above the coffee and gently pour the cream over it so that it floats nicely over the coffee.
7. Decorate with a little cocoa powder and garnish with two coffee beans before serving. Enjoy your meal!
