Description
Decaffeination using the Swiss Water process – the precious coffee beans are treated gently with only clear water: In the first step, all soluble ingredients are extracted from a batch of raw coffee beans with hot water.
The caffeine is removed from this melange using an activated carbon filter. A second batch of coffee is then treated with the melange. Because this contains all soluble coffee ingredients except caffeine, only the caffeine is released from the coffee of this batch. After several passes, the legally required caffeine content of less than 0.1% is reached and decaffeinated coffee is created. The Swiss Water process is one of the most gentle and cleanest processes for decaffeinating coffee.
The pack contains 18 pads.
