Brazil, whose name appears in an ancient Celtic legend about a “land of delights” seen through the clouds, is today the world leader in the coffee market. Imported from French Guiana, the coffee tree has found in Brazil the ideal climate for growing, and over time coffee has become an important factor in the history and culture of this country.
Today, Brazil is arguably the most advanced country in the coffee industry, producing 80% Arabica coffee, with varieties such as Bourbon, Catuai, Acaia, Mundo Novo, Icatu, and 20% Robusta coffee.
Today, the Fazenda Sertao farm has three generations working to produce specialty coffees that have earned a reputation in Brazil. These coffees are perfect for a single origin espresso or as a base in a successful blend.
