Description
This blend is named for Aldo Leopold, a revered ecologist and author. It is a coffee we roast a bit longer than our other offerings, with the goal of muting acidity, accentuating mouthfeel, and caramelizing sugars. Aldo’s is roasted for our loyal supporters who are nostalgic for flavors reminiscent of the classic diner coffee – strong, rich, bold. It’s currently comprised of the following
- 50% Condor – a regional blend of coffees from smallholder farmers through San Agustin, Huila, Colombia. Sourced via Atlantic Specialty Coffee.
- 50% Mirim – a smaller (14 /15) screen size blend from a group of families living in the Serra do Cigano Valley. This includes coffee from many familiar faces we’ve had as single origins offerings in the past, like Jacon & Santos, Ze Pato, etc. – sourced through our partners at Fazenda Ambiental Fortaleza (FAF).
