SCA Roaster, Barista and Technician are looking for new leadership council members.

For the three trade guilds of the Specialty Coffee Association—the Coffee Roasters Guild, the Barista Guild, and the Coffee Technicians Guild—election season has begun.

 

The nomination period for each guild’s Leadership Council elections began today and ends on Monday, October 3. two-year terms for volunteer Leadership Council members.

 

Each guild has its own unique ideals and goals, but they are all driven by volunteers to build a more vibrant, connected, and knowledgeable specialty coffee community in line with the Specialty Coffee Association’s mission (SCA).

 

In November, representatives from each guild will examine the nominations and provide a slate of potential candidates. The petition nomination period and election period will come after that, with the results of the election expected to be published on Friday, December 9.

 

For five available seats in the upcoming year, the Coffee Roasters Guild is looking for nominations. The Coffee Technicians Guild has five openings, and the Barista Guild is hiring for three roles.
