Nowadays it is almost impossible to ignore Matcha. Powdered green tea is very popular. With this matchaccino you give a twist to the normal cappuccino! You replace the foam layer with a matcha foam layer.
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Ingredients (for one Matchaccino)
- A cup of Douwe Egberts Espresso
- 150 – 200 ml milk
- 1 to 3 teaspoons Matcha powder
Preparation method
1. Brew a cup of Douwe Egberts Espresso.
2. Heat the milk as you normally would.
3. When the milk is warm, add the matcha. First add a tablespoon and then taste if you want to add some extra. Now you need to stir well so that all the matcha dissolves. 4. Spoon the foam onto your coffee. Finished! Now you can enjoy your Matchaccino. Tip: First pour a little bit of milk into the matcha and make a paste of it. This way you make sure you don’t get lumps!
