Preparation time: 30 minutes + 20 minutes oven time

Ingredients (for 12 cupcakes):

• 1 DE Latte Macchiato indulgent coffee stick

• 125 gr butter at room temperature

• 125 gr granulated sugar

• 125 gr self-raising flour

• ½ sachet vanilla sugar

• 2 tablespoons milk

• 2 eggs

For the coffee butter cream (optional):

• 250 grams icing sugar

• 250 grams soft butter

• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

• 2 teaspoons DE Aroma Red instant coffee

• 2 teaspoons hot water


• Cupcake cases

• Baking pan for muffins

• Mixer

• Piping bag for the buttercream

Preparation method:

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
  2. Mix the butter until smooth and add the sugar, vanilla sugar and eggs.
  3. Pass the self-raising flour through the sieve and add it to the mixture as well.
  4. Mix the DE Latte Macchiato Indulgence Coffee with the milk. Then add this to the rest of the ingredients and mix well until a light mixture is formed.
  5. Place the molds in the baking pan and fill with the batter. Put them in the preheated oven. Remove the cupcakes after 15 to 20 minutes.

While the cupcakes are in the oven you can make the coffee buttercream.

  1. Mix the butter in a bowl until fluffy. Then add the powdered sugar little by little. Keep mixing until it is a nice firm mass.
  2. Dissolve 2 teaspoons of Aroma Red instant coffee in 2 teaspoons of hot water. Then add it to the butter and powdered sugar mixture. Finally, add the vanilla extract.
  3. Place the empty piping bag upright in a glass and fill it with the buttercream. Then cut off the tip of the bag. Pipe the buttercream generously onto the cupcakes.
